5/6 Anchors    As the senior class of Boolaroo School we look forward to being excellent leaders and role models for our peers. 

Just a little bit about what we are studying this term.

History - This term we are studying a unit called "Australia as a Nation". The unit focuses on inquiry questions such as : Why and how did Australia become a nation ? How did Australian society change throughout the 20th Century?  Who were the people who came to Australia? What contributions have significant individuals made to the development of Australian society ?

Science- This term we are studying a unit called "Desert Survivors" It focuses on plants and animals adaptations to their environment and ties in well to our Informative Writing this term.

PE -Will be held on Wednesdays and sport is on Fridays. Students may wear their sports uniform on these days.

Creative Arts - Students are provided with many opportunities to be creative using all types of media. This includes art, drama, music and dance.

Library - We visit our school library on Wednesdays at 10.15, please remember to bring in borrowed books each week in a Library bag.

Scripture and Ethics - Classes are on a Friday afternoon on the even weeks. A signed note is required for participation. Please see the office

Excursions - This year, the 5/6 Anchors will be going to Canberra. There will also be other opportunities for walking excursions throughout the year.
