Starting School

Your child is able to start school at the beginning of the school year if he / she turns five on or before the 31st July in that year. By law, all children must be enrolled in school by their sixth birthday. 

Kindergarten 2021  ORIENTATION Dates update

November 5th, 12th and 19th.

It is preferrable to have all forms and documentation lodged at the Office in Term 3 2020.  Kindergarten's first day is Monday 1st February 2021.  We look forward to seeing you here.

To register, please phone the school office on 4958 1479 during school hours. 8am - 3pm.  

Introductory meeting

A  one-on-one introductory meeting with you, your child, the Instructional Leader and our Principal, which can be held any time during the year - just contact us. We can also place you on our newsletter email list so you keep up to date with what's happening at Boolaroo Public School. or alternatively you may download the School Stream APP - Add Boolaroo and you will receive all notifications including newsletters.

Non Local Enrolment

Should you be wanting to enrol your child at Boolaroo and you live 'out of zone' it is appropriate to contact your local school in the first instance. You are also welcome to contact our principal and have a chat regarding your individual circumstances.  If you are building in any of the new local 'estates' you will be in zone so the enrolment process should be automatic.

Little Skippers for (2022)  Info wil be updated at a later date. 

Little Skippers is a  new innovative 'skills for school' program to be run during term 3  for ALL children aged 4+. No matter what school your child will attend, they will benefit from the school readiness skills offered at Little Skippers. 

Documentation required

When enrolling in a NSW Government school for the first time the following documents will need to be sighted:

  •  your child's birth certificate or identity documents
  •  proof of student's address - originals of different documents such as your council rates notice or residential lease or electricity bill
  •  Immunisation history statement based on the Australian Childhood Immunisation Register (ACIR)
  • family law or other relevant court orders (if applicable).
  • Medical information relevant for your child - asthma/anaphylaxis plans.

 

If your child is not a permanent resident you will also need to provide:

•   passport or travel documents

•   current visa and previous visas (if applicable)
